About Crieve Hall, TN
Crieve Hall is a residential neighborhood of South Nashville, known for its mid-century brick ranch homes on generous lots. Its history runs deep: in 2019 the Metropolitan Historical Commission placed a marker on Hogan Road near Trousdale Drive. Travellers Rest, the home John Overton built in 1799, sits nearby and has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1969.
The 207-acre Ellington Agricultural Center lies close by as well. It houses the Tennessee Department of Agriculture and the Tennessee Agricultural Museum, linked by walking trails. Neighborhood streets mean short trips with frequent stops, which can be hard on batteries and brakes, so a regular check keeps a family car ready.
