About Berry Hill, TN

Berry Hill is a small city of about 2,100 residents inside Davidson County, covering less than a square mile. Its residents voted to incorporate in 1950, by 138 votes to 135. It joined Metropolitan Nashville in 1963 but kept its status as a city, with its own police and public works.

Since 1970, when a recording studio opened in two of its houses, Berry Hill has become a center of the recording industry known as "Music Hill." It sits beside the 100 Oaks complex, the first enclosed shopping mall in Tennessee, and Woodlawn Memorial Park. Busy streets with frequent stops wear brakes and tires faster, so regular checks keep a vehicle ready.
